Well, when I ran the NoypEee-certified money manager Buddi, it prompted me that there is an update available. The previous version I was running was Buddi 2.6.4.2 but after the update, my Buddi (pun intended) is now Buddi 3.0.0.0! I didn't notice too much difference except that the program is having a hard time recognizing the clicks I make on my accounts to add entries.
Oh, and version 3.0.0.0 doesn't recognize the data file from the previous version but it does have a facility to import those older data files (whew!). Anyway, the newest version of Buddi can still be downloaded here.

Did you use the Ubuntu or Debian installer for the Eee? Sorry for the newbie questions and I just want to be safe with every install I do for the Eee. Also, it would be great if you could also provide a "How-To" install guide for Linux newbies like me. Thanks and keep up the great work! :)

The working file is the one for Ubuntu/Debian. To install, simply open a Terminal window, go to where you downloaded the Buddi.3.0.0.0.deb file and issue the command "sudo dpkg -i Buddi-3.0.0.0.deb".
It will install Buddi *and* add a menu item on the start menu automagically! The Buddi icon will be at Start --> Applications --> Office

I was able to install Buddi although this is the newer version 3.1.0.0 something... Although, upon launching the software, it causes some errors posted below.
An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:

The correct command is "sudo apt-get remove [insert buddi version here]". As for Buddi, if you can get a pre-3.x.x.x version, it will work better.
